Twin Disc products were presented at the company's booth
The batch of lifeboat engines has been delivered to Russia by the official distributor
SPB Marine LLC engineers successfully completed the commissioning and testing of four geared diesel engine units based on Scania DI 16M engines and Twin Disc MGX 5136A gearboxes mounted on the boom ships of the A40-2B project hulls No. 165, 166. The ships were built at the "Yaroslavsky Shipbuilding Plant" by the order of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and were named "Captain Balashov" and "Captain Barabash" respectively.
The ships of the A40-2B project correspond to the class KM Ice2 R3 RSN Aut 3 oil recovery ship (> 60 °) of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping and are designed for emergency rescue, search and rescue of people and objects at sea, transportation of oil spill response means with the aim of using them to collect the spilled fuel.
According to the test results, failures were not identified, all systems works properly.
