Scania expands its line of engines

Scania marine engines have always been compact in size and weight in comparison with competitors, and now, due to the use of the original XPI (Common Rail) system, Scania's leadership becomes unconditional for engines of this class. Some competitors can offer engines of comparable power and weight, but their ratings impose on them significantly greater restrictions on the annual operating time and the possibility of working at full power.

The XPI system has long been used on Scania's industrial and automotive engines, and in 2015 it was first introduced on a 16-liter marine engine. This year Scania presented 13-liter engines with XPI, which allowed to increase their power to 925 hp. Brief information about the new models is given in the table below. For more information, please visit our website at www.spbmarine.com. You can also contact us at office@spbmarine.com

All new engines comply with the Tier 2 standard for emissions into the environment, and some of them are comply with more stringent standards.
